Before you get started setting up your rental system, here are a few things to do that will make setting up more efficient.
-
Create images of all your unique rental products - Preferred size is 640x480. Save them in one folder that is easy to find.
-
Have a spreadsheet with all your rental products broken into categories and their unique identifier. When you build your inventory, you will enter a Unit # and a Unit Name to track each rental product. The table below shows an example of information you’ll need (notice if I have 2 of one size, how they are labeled). My “RB” stands for “Rental Bike” - a way to distinguish if I have demo bikes or floor bikes. Your Unit # should reflect how your shop already identifies each product ease of integration.
