You’ve added your products, now you are ready to set and control the inventory so you have real-time availability for your customer.
Instructions
-
Select Inventory in the Rentals Setup menu and select your first product by clicking the edit Pencil icon
-
You will see your Product Attributes listed. Typically, you will want the Frame Size to be managing the inventory, so there should be a yellow button that says “un-manage inventory.” This is correct. If you click it, it will turn blue and will no longer be managing inventory. Pedals should be blue unless you want to be precise on pedal inventory management.
-
Next to each Attribute, click the green plus button to create your rental inventory items. Typically, each bike has a reference, whether it is a name or a number. This is how your shop categorizes your rental products. For example, my rental bike has a sticker that says RF-301 on it, I’d use this number for the Unit Number. Then the Unit Name could be Element-XSmall. Click next to each size you have and create the individual rental items.
-
Once the inventory items are created, this is where you have detailed control of your item. Click the Pencil icon next to the Inventory Details list, and you have options to add a Maintenance Log, edit specific details or mark the bike as inactive or sold.
